Whether you're a longtime CorelDRAW fan or you're looking for a new way to express your creativity, this is a great opportunity to share your designs with millions of people, including fellow artists and potential clients. How to enter

Use an existing copy of CorelDRAW and/or Corel PHOTO-PAINT®, or download a free trial of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4, to create a design that fits into one of the following categories:
Categories
Advertising & Marketing

Flyers, brochures, logos, signs and other designs related to advertising, marketing or point of purchase (POP)
Promotional Items, Awards & Personalization

Designs to be used in the engraving, awards, dye sublimation and other related industries
Vehicle Wraps

Designs to be used for car, truck, boat or other vehicle wraps
Textile & Fashion Design

Designs for fashion, embroidery and direct-to-garment printing
General Illustration & Fine Art

Artistic, creative and unique designs
Academic

To enter this category, you must be able to prove that you attend an educational institution. You may submit entries from any of the categories listed above into the Academic category.
Contest details

* Each contestant may enter only one (1) design in each non-Academic category, or five (5) designs in total. You may not enter the same design in more than one category
* Each contestant submitting one (1) design in the Academic category may not enter any other designs in the other categories
* Entries must be submitted in CorelDRAW .CDR or Corel PHOTO-PAINT .CPT file format
* Winners will be selected within 6 weeks of the contest's closing date

Excellent posibilities in prestigious Italian university for Bulgarian designers

POLI.design - Политехнически консорциум, Милано, част от един от най-престижните университети в Европа - Politecnico di Milano, предлага 10 стипендии за обучение на български дизайнери и архитекти от тази есен. Инициативата е продиктувана от успешното представяне на български курсисти в специализираните курсове на университета през последните три години, съобщават от LEONARDO Design.

Учебната година започва на 15 септември, а стипендиите са за следдипломна квалификация в два специализирани курса:

FOOD EXPERIENCE DESIGN - дизайн и проектиране на модерни хранителни търговски обекти - хлебарници, сладкарници и сладоледени къщи. Това е третото издание на курса и ще се проведе от 15 септември до 4 ноември 2008 г. в POLI.design - Политехнически консорциум, Милано, Бовиза. Курсът включва 224 лекционни часа на италиански език, курсова работа и образователни посещения на най-актуалните хранителни търговски обекти в Милано. Новата специализация в дизайна и проектирането на модерни хранителни търговски обекти ги превръща в мултифункционални пространства с атмосфера, консумация на напитки и висок клас дизайн. NEW ENTERTAINMENT DESIGN - това е първият курс в Европа, насочен към дизайна, планирането и обзавеждането на увеселителни заведения с дизайн и атмосфера, които днес променят изцяло пейзажа в развлекателната индустрия. Включва 224 лекционни часа на италиански, курсова работа и образователни посещения на най-актуалните нощни заведения на Милано. Осмото издание на курса ще се проведе от 22 септември до 13 ноември 2008г. в POLI.design - Политехнически консорциум, Милано, Бовиза. Пълна информация за програмата: www.newentertainmentdesign.it

За всеки курс са предвидени по 5 стипендии на стойност 4000 евро. Необходимо е кандидатите да владеят добре италиански език, да са студенти или дипломанти по специалностите архитектура и дизайн и да изпратят CV на италиански език за Food Experience Design до 25 август 2008г. и за New Entertainment Design до 1 септември 2008г.

you should explore the properties of this unique material and challenge
people's perception of how crystal can be used in the near future.
come up with new products and ideas to fill the new SWAROVSKI concept store:

· what role could crystal play in an urban lifestyle and make you feel better?
· how feminine and sensual can crystal pieces be and make you feel more beautiful?

we are looking for innovative product concepts that might be based on pure crystal
or fuse crystal with new materials or functions.

please note: the products should be 'packageable' that means they should be able to be sold over the counter
- so do not think about crystal furniture, a crystal city or a crystal car...
